You simply can not get a real sense of the history of the city without doing a few tours of the past that truly outline how New York emerged into the city of today. So much history as to its beginning and now its myriad of shops. For Business Owners Every day, we help thousands of travelers plan great vacations. You know how to reach us. I have tried other walking tours with other company's and none have even come close to Max and the CityRover tours. Well we hit the jackpot with CityRover. Tours are capped at 12 participants which makes for an ideal size.
Thanks for a great time in New York May 2017. We will definitely be doing another tour with him next time we are in the City. We started with a historical overview of Chelsea Market, toured a bit of the High Line, and spent the final hour roaming the eclectic West and Greenwich Villages. That goes a long way to prove just how captivated we were with the storytelling and imagery set by our guide. Our time with Max was easily my favorite oh! Initially I thought 6 hours would be to long but it was just perfect.
I will take a CityRover tour every time I visit the city. I will let him explain this one. I definitely recommend this tour! I just finished my 3rd walk with Max. There was one painting in a famous hotel where the owner asked the artist to paint something that no one can see. This trip was well worth the money.
My girlfriends and I were wanting an informative yet fun tour of the Brooklyn Bridge. At the beginning of the tour he had a bottle of water for everyone and at the end he provides a list of good places to check out in the area. My favorite part about our trip was all that I learned about this delicious city's history and it's profound significance to this great nation. More Show less As a resident New Yorker I felt awkward that I hadn't yet ventured out to the Highline Park that's been bantered about all over. Max gave us a New York experience which forever will hold a special place in all our hearts.
I did 2 tours in the spring and the Central Park tour just this week in December. In addition to this, he gave us some great tips on other places in New York to visit. Technically he's a tour guide, but he fit in like an old friend or family member. If you have photos, descriptions, contact information, social media handles, etc. It was a big hit to my mother and myself as we experienced the true New York as we toured the sites.
Max was very welcoming and open to any questions. We are from Sydney Australia, and I initially thought New York was out of control, Sydney on steroids, until Max explained everything from using buses and trains to moving around the city away from crowded areas to the point that after our week there, I felt like a local as I got used to navigating the city. I really appreciate the fact that you joined three of my tours in less than six months. The ground we covered and the tour itself felt like time just flew by. You may even spot a celebrity or 2; we did! Building boom is currently going on to cater for the high immigration to the city just like in Sydney.
She was great at tailoring it to our likes like food! You simply tell Max what you want or if you don't know, he will suggest a few tours and experiences. And the tiramisu We spent our last two days with him and he took us all over the city, sharing the rich history and bringing things to our attention that we would have easily overlooked. Max was able to provide a bespoke tour based on our interests and was keen to make our visit as crammed full as we could of the less touristy things that we felt we could manage on our own if we wanted. And I'm a born New Yorker. He will provide you with such a unique experience. Max took the time to personalize the entire experience. I became fascinated by its background and the purposes it now serves.
I'm so grateful for his knowledge and the context he provided us along our adventures this weekend. She loves what she does and it comes through in the tour. We stood there for a few minutes and the outcome when pointed out had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. I will let him explain this one. From Time Square to Rockefeller Center to the Statue of Liberty and everything in between.
