I know that there's really only one Fiat specialist at the studio technically, it's the Chrysler service center , and that where I live, none of the nearby Fiat dealerships have the most awesome repair records, but I can't believe that this is a problem that they've never dealt with, especially considering all of the transmission recall problems with the 500L. Apparently, it had something to do with the Fuel Injection and some software needing to be fixed. The earlier 500 was a really nice little car, surprisingly comfortable, rode well and had a decent turn of speed. Also about a month ago, the power steering went while I was driving, took it to a garage and they reset it and hasn't happened since. Firstly this car is used for everything, by this I mean, commuting, long journeys etc. I've read about so many problems , but man is it cute.

The interior is plasticky, you can lower the front seats which I had to do as my head touched the roof 5'6 , which then gives you a nice gap at the back of the seat as only the back lowers, which then tips your knees up so you're then sitting in a dining room chair position. Since its under warranty I've had it at the dealer a total of 5 times for this problem. I'm a bit skeptical, considering that the problems seemed to be with the transmission and gears not shifting properly, so we shall see. Don't be shy, come join us! Can't think of any more, head hurts. Right after I took it home oil has been flooding out of it and spraying all over my car. One on one side only is clearly insufficient.
Unfortunately, it would appear the whole front end has decided to fall apart, I have had to replace strut tops and bearings, bushes all over , dampers front and rear , bearings, driveshaft' with issues still ongoing. Car filling up with rainwater. Every 500 doesnt suffer all my listed faults for sure. I spent weeks trying to get it resolved with Fiat North America. We immediately scheduled an appointment with our local studio and continued to drive the car as normal.
Since they can't replicate often they also have a hard time pinpointing the problem. Still burning about 2 quarts of oil between oil changes. It is a Lounge with a 5 speed which is somewhat of a rare option combo and makes this little guy the best of both worlds.
