The other bolt is at the front of the box just under the edge of the air cleaner assembly. One of the bolts is hidden below the heavy cables on the post at back of box. But he said it could be a abs problem and a transmission problem too. But this morning it did the limp mode thing again with the dashes and starting off in drive 3 until I switched the car off. I also got the Transmission service required message. My fault started a while back but I haven't used the car much since. I get the typical brake failure lights as well as the non functioning odometer and cruise control. Did not want to go back to the dealership since they treated me poorly the first time. The 30787954 part is indeed the module.
I put it back on the car and bingo, no problem, no limp mode and no messages. Updated 2-25-2019 Why is our service different? Also if your check engine indicator is on, you can quickly find out which module is causing this and is it safe to continue to travel. You'll cuss if you never have before in your life before you're done. This clicking lasts for about 5 to 10 seconds. Get the best deal possible by letting salvage yards compete for your business! Hi, Sorry for delay in replying, but only just logged back in for some other matter re my air con. The pop-up window example, in the attachment, will be shown 14 days prior to the expiraton date. The bloke there is quite good and has been to Sweden for courses on specialist Volvo matters and has shed loads of experience. While the failure rate on these is close to 100%, there are other parts of the system that can fail.
Hopefully the car will now know its gearbox oil is clean and new and not create any more errors to throw the car into limp mode. He said that without plugging it in to the Volvo diagnostic computer he was not able to give me a definitive answer, which is fair comment really. I've today plugged the car into a Launch X431 diagnostic computer and deleted the error codes and the message has now gone. I will update if any more problems. Its worthy of note that the multiplug has a rubber boot around it. Looks like that would be the best option.
