First thing you should do is open the hood of the vehicle and follow the wire for the right front abs sensor. The abs motor continues running even when the vehicle is turned off and the key is removed. I also had problem with front rotors that they kept replacing numerous times until my warrant ran out and than I had to replace them with high performance rotors so it would not happen again. Subsequently, I drove the car to the Faulkner dealership in Harrisburg. Tires were wore out at 30000. The noise continued and I continued to try to find out what it was.

I read that the pump prob has a leak an it is trying to repressurize its self back up. Never been over 24mpg even on long highway trips going 65mph. I checked the internet and found this to be an ongoing problem. Does light doesnt appear when i start the car, but as soon as i put the car in first gear and start moving the come on the dashboad. As a result of the failure, anti-lock, anti-skid, vsc, do not work. The mechanic told me they get a lot of Maxima in there shop with the same problem. I gotta go to nissan tomorrow to check out this nightmare.
Was this resolved for you? In the meantime, while I was waiting for the bearings, I heard humming the next morning when I went out into the garage. My car started that problem today. It will also turn off when I remove the key from the ignition. I can do it easy. The problem is corrosion in the rear hubs is causing the sensors to be pushed out of alignment with the sensor ring. This car was serviced more than any other vehicle I have owned. He said it was a Nissan manufacturers flaw.
Though I am glad I reported it earlier enough. The fuse and motor get extremely hot and may potentially cause a fire in the vehicle if the battery is not disconnected overnight. Even I knew that was not it. It is sitting at the dealership parking lot. This is my first and last Nissan.
